I am an undergrad student at Wesleyan University currently in my first semester of my senior year. I am an East Asian Studies and Economics double major with my academic interests currently lying in Chinese political economy. I appreciate the Global Engagement Minor in how it synthesizes with my other areas of study. In East Asian Studies and Economics, for the sake of analyzing data, people represented as numbers or monoliths. Global Engagement reincorporates the identity of people across the globe by looking at groups as made up of individuals rather than placing individuals in groups. I look forward to continuing to apply my GEM knowledge to my life after graduation!
